Freight Delivery Requirements

Last updated: August 3, 2026

Our products ship via freight carrier as a crated skid — not a standard parcel courier. Freight trucks are large and require specific conditions at the delivery location to unload safely. This page explains what you need to know before your order arrives.

What you need at delivery

One of the following: a loading dock, a forklift on-site, or liftgate service arranged with your order ($250). Without one of these, the carrier may not be able to unload your shipment, which can result in a delivery refusal or re-delivery fee.

Loading Dock

A raised platform at your building that lets a freight truck back up to it so pallets can be unloaded directly, without any lifting equipment on the truck itself. If your location has a loading dock, freight delivery is straightforward — no extra equipment or fees required.

Forklift

If you have a forklift on-site at the delivery location, it can be used to unload the crate/skid directly from the truck bed, even without a loading dock.

Hand Bombing

"Hand bombing" means manually unloading freight from the truck by hand rather than with a forklift or dock. It's physically demanding and only practical for lighter items — most of our crated products are too heavy to hand bomb safely, so if you don't have a dock or forklift, liftgate service is the standard solution.

Liftgate Service

A liftgate is a hydraulic platform mounted on the back of the delivery truck that lowers your freight from truck-bed height down to ground level. It's the standard solution when a delivery location has no loading dock and no forklift. Liftgate service costs $250 and must be arranged in advance — carriers generally cannot add it after the truck is already en route.

When the $250 Liftgate Charge Applies

If your delivery location does not have a loading dock or a forklift, liftgate service is required to safely unload a crated skid. We ask about this during checkout so the $250 fee can be added and confirmed upfront — this avoids delivery-day surprises, refused shipments, or costly re-delivery fees charged directly by the carrier.
